Michael Lavelle
Michael Lavelle, Managing Partner, is a senior and founding partner of Lavelle Coleman. Michael is a law graduate of UCD and qualified as a solicitor in 1985. Michael has acted in mergers and acquisitions of large companies and advises on management buyouts, structured financing and other financial transactions. Michael has also advised companies on their structure, share options and share holders agreements. He has focused on the areas of commercial law and commercial litigation as his preferred areas of practice, with an expertise in insolvency.
Michael also advises on company and commercial disputes. In addition to acting for large and influential organisations both in Ireland and overseas, Michael believes in offering a dynamic and tailored one-to-one legal service to individuals.
In recent years, Michael has specialised in advising on partnership disputes in professional services firms, including law firms, accountants, architects, doctors practices, amongst others.
Michael is a member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners and has lectured on the subject of Insolvency law at the Law Society law school. In his role as Managing Partner, Michael is overseeing the continued growth and development of the firm.
