Our banking and financial services group provide a specialised service in all key areas of banking and financial services work and our clients include domestic and international banks, leading financial institutions and major corporates.

Our banking and financial services group comprises some of Ireland’s most respected lawyers in this field and is divided into four core practice areas:
Group Representative Transactions
Our work includes all types of financial transactions and operational issues within the financial markets including:
- Regularly advising an Irish financial institution in relation to secured lending transactions worth up to €10 million;
- Advising an Irish financial institution in relation to a ship financing transaction worth stg £1 million;
- Advising a client in the healthcare sector in relation to its group re-financing worth €30 million;
- Acting as standing adviser to a financial institution for the last 6 years, advising on a range of security issues, regulatory compliance and enforcement issues;
- Review of security documentation and enforcing solicitors undertakings through the Courts;
- Acting for a number of Receivers appointed by various banks over assets of companies;
- Acting for developers and lenders in giving and taking security over development, construction and construction agreements, collateral warranties and drafting step-in rights;
- Acting for a number of clients with debts in excess of €100m and advising on the restructuring of their debt;
- Representing a financial services company in relation to a High Court appeal from a decision of the Financial Services Ombudsman. The appeal related to the jurisdiction of the Ombudsman to award compensation to a disgruntled purchaser of UK property.
