Agricultural Law

Agricultural Law

We have acted for a considerable number of farmers in EU milk quota cases over the years. The firm also acted for over 100 farmers who had signed development plans to develop their farms without receiving an appropriate milk quota. Our firm successfully represented the farmers in the principle case, Duff v. The Minister for Agriculture, which was heard in the High Court, Supreme Court, European Court of Justice, and succeeded in securing damages in the Supreme Court which resulted in an assessment of damages in the High Court in each individual case.

Our involvement with farmers has given the firm a particular expertise in all aspects of Agricultural Law including property, inheritance, family law, environmental, health and safety, domestic legislation and EU legislation.
